Enviroscape Model

The Linn SWCD purchased an EnviroScape nonpoint source pollution model and riparian kit with partial funding from the DNR Environmental Education grant funds.

The tabletop demonstration model can be used to illustrate how nonpoint source pollution is created as well as offer solutions. The riparian kit is an add-on that addresses benefits and values of riparian buffers.

"Visual models help to show how pollution can occur." stated Jennifer Koopmann, District Watershed Project Coordinator. "Learning about contaminates in our water resources and how to prevent them is important to watershed education."

Educators are encouraged to check out the EnviroScape Model. Presentations can be arranged for use with the model by contacting the Linn SWCD at 377-5960 X3.
