Land use and farming practices have changed monumentally since 1942, but our work continues.  That’s why we need your help to support local conservation.  Even though financial support for landowners’ projects comes from the state of Iowa through the District, we have no taxing authority to raise funds for our other job - promoting soil conservation and water quality.  Funds to support that part of our work must be raised locally.
